Ladies' League
Rules and Information

The Ladies' League at Braestone Club is played on Tuesdays throughout the summer.
TWO LEAGUE OPTIONS AVAILABLE
-
Competitive League (9 Holes) – Weekly Prizes | $150 Registration
-
Social League (9 Holes) – No Weekly Prizes | $100 Registration
To enhance the success of our Ladies League, we will be introducing two distinct league options this season. New this year, we are offering both a Competitive Ladies League and a Social Ladies League. You can choose the league that best matches your experience, skill level, and personal preferences.
While both leagues offer unique advantages, participants may register for only one league — either the Competitive League or the Social League.
Competitive League
The Competitive League is designed for golfers who enjoy a friendly but competitive environment. Participants will have the opportunity to challenge themselves while competing with fellow members in a supportive and engaging atmosphere. To join the Competitive League, players must have a valid and up to date Golf Canada Handicap. This league offers 9 holes each week, with prizes awarded in some of the following categories:
-
Low Net
-
Low Gross
-
Closest to the Pin
-
Additional Weekly Contests
The Competitive League Entry Fee of $150 is allocated for weekly prizes, lunch, gifts and prizes for our Ladies' League Finale, as well as prizes for the full league season.
Please note that if you are unable to attend the League Finale Luncheon, a credit will be issued to you following the event.
Social League
The Social League provides a relaxed, non-competitive experience for golfers who prefer to focus on enjoyment and camaraderie. This league involves 9 holes each week, with no formal scoring or prizes—just an opportunity to play and socialize with friends, while meeting new ones along the way!
The Social League Entry Fee of $100 is allocated for lunch and gifts at our Ladies' League Finale.
Please note that if you are unable to attend the League Finale Luncheon, a credit will be issued to you following the event.
FORMAT
Weekly on Tuesdays | Designated Tee Times: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Excluding Week 1 Shotgun)
Groups will be organized by the professional staff to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to play with different participants, while also being placed in groups they feel comfortable in. Scheduling will be arranged to accommodate individual availability and to ensure fairness on a weekly basis.
A unique theme will be featured each week throughout the season.
Tee times are also available later in the day for those unable to play in the morning! If you work during the day and can't come out until later in the afternoon, worry not!
In previous years, we've generally had 8-12 ladies play their Ladies' League round between 4-5 pm on Tuesday each week! If you wish to play at this time on any given week, simply call the Pro Shop to book your time and we will ensure you get paired with other ladies from your respective league!

Competitive League Standings & Points Structure
Points are earned each week based on Net Scoring Standings.
-
The player with the highest net score (last place) will earn 10 points for the week.
-
Each position higher on the leaderboard earns a player 10 additional points.
-
Points are split evenly amongst all tied players in a given week.
Examples:
20 Players play in a given week
-
The last place player earns 10 points
-
Three players tie for 5th, each player earns 150 points
-
The first place player earns 200 points
17 Players play in a given week
-
The last place player earns 10 points
-
Two Players tie for 9th, each player earns 85 points
-
The first place player earns 170 points
League Season Standings are based off of an accumulative point total earned throughout the course of league play.
Each player’s total points are based off of their ten highest weekly point totals over the course of the season.
Only official Golf Canada and GHIN handicaps will be recognized for net scoring in league play. Having a handicap, as well as properly maintaining it, is highly recommended for all league members as it will greatly impact your ability to place well in the standings!
If less than 50% of league members play, or are expected to play on a league day, the Professional Staff will make a decision on whether to cancel league play for the week.
Every effort is made to have weekly standings, winners, and updated league standings posted as soon as possible after league play. Thank you for understanding that it can be a long process to complete everything required for scoring in both our Men’s and Ladies’ leagues!
Please note that scoring will not be recorded in Week 1.
Competitive League Weekly Games & Prizes
Each week, we will play some different on course games such as Closest to the Pin, Closest to the Rope, Count Your Putts, and more!
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of our weekly games, as well as our Low Net scorer each week! New this year, we will also be awarding a prize for our best dressed golfer on select weeks throughout the season!
Prizes are awarded as Braestone Club Gift Certificates that may be used in the Pro Shop, with the beverage cart or at The KTCHN.
Rules
Golf Canada rules shall govern all play except as modified by local rules.
